Polished fossil stromatolite. Pseudogymnosolenid type. DOG165 beryl 290 mm x 120-170mm xDOG165 Fossil stromatolite slab, polished on one side. Superb museum quality specimen ! An as yet unidentified stromatolite, form of Pseudogymnosolenid type. The stromatolite occurs as small digitate columns which are finely laminated. It probably grew in shallow water conditions with intermittent subaerial exposure. From an unassigned unit of the Wyloo Group. Age is approx. 1. 8 billion years. From south west of Newman Western Australia. Approx. 285
